The Story of a Lion
A fairy tale that I created overnight. (:

Once upon a time, there was this young lion. Even though he had a family, he was always left all alone by himself. So, like every other normal day, he went to his usual spot and gaze at the stars. While he was there, a cute young lioness came. As he was used to loneliness, he didn’t even care of her presence.
Unexpectedly, the lioness approached him. She was crying inside. Trying to be kind hearted, Lion slowly talked to her and learnt of what had happened. He then tried to understand her problem and at the same time try to comfort her. After much effort, the Lion finally saw a smile carved at the lioness face. He was really proud and happy of what he had done. Soon enough, they became friends.
Lion’s feeling of loneliness slowly fades. He feels that he’s not alone anymore. There’s always lioness to accompany him. Day and night he thought of her, he always miss her. Everything was colourful, beautiful. There often went to star gaze together. She was very special to him. And he thought he was special to her too. It was a happy ending… or so he thought.
One day, Lion saw the lioness acted differently. Even when Lion approached her, she didn’t really care. Lion thought that she became like that because she face a problem again. So once again, Lion talked to her and tried to understand her. But to his dismay, he failed. He was pushed away. He was puzzled, completely clueless of what happened to her.
Then, on this fine day, Lion found out that lioness became sick. He became really worried. So, he quickly look for her and told her that he wished that he could keep her company until she was fine. Unfortunate to him, he was turned away again.
Lion didn’t give up. Next, he tried to help her by giving her advice so that she could get well faster. Because of the negative reaction lioness gave, Lion felt as if his presence is unwanted. So, instead, he felt deeply hurt inside. The memories of him being alone slowly came back to him.
Not giving up, he decided to try again for the last time. Lion had heard from someone that Honey can actually help a lot at curing certain sickness. Hence, Lion searched for honey in the jungle. He then diluted it with water. (Yes, it’s a diluted PURE [wild] honey. The unsweetened one.). He then again look for lioness and passed the “potion” to her hoping that it will ease her pain. He did receive a smile and a “thanks” in return. Lion was happy, but, this doesn’t really change anything much. After that, Lion didn’t hear from lioness ever again.
All Lion wanted was a special companion that care and love him. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to have it. When Lion confronted lioness, the answer he got was.. “you’re just a friend.” Lion no longer felt he was special. His world turned upside down. He’s completely lost, broken. Yet, he still smiled kindly and walk away — “I’m fine.” So, back like before, he went star gazing alone. How he wished that lioness were with him at the time. How he wished that she would be there with him always. Lion miss her so dearly. Lion is now just confused. Lion just can’t see things properly now.

Then one night, came this princess. She noticed of the lonely Lion and approached him. Lion loved lioness so much and was deeply hurt. So, he didn’t want to be bothered and ignored the princess. The princess tried to understand him and comforted him. She sincerely showed deep care for him. It turned out that this princess possesed a very kind heart. Miraculously, Lion opened up to her, smiled and asked.. “Are you.. an Angel?“…
